One nitpick: In Canada, boreal and taiga are different forest types, not just different names. Taiga forest is sparser, often stretches further north/considered to be subarctic forest and with different species not found in most of the Boreal forests, especially across the continents. Russian "taiga" and Canadian "Boreal" forests are completely different from one another (living in a country covered mostly by Boreal forest, yes, we got taught the differences in school).
