only had 5 minutes to take this but still got 131. Maybe you should accept Pious for Pius? I only got it because I was sure that there was a Pious so I tried different spellings, otherwise I would have moved on and missed it.
Good quiz but Francis doesn't have a number designation after his name. That only happens when a second (or more) pope chooses the same name. Thus far, Francis is the only one with that name.
I don't understand why this quiz has the 'Roman Catholic' label. 'Roman Catholic' can be a pejorative term, depending on the context. Catholics do not generally accept that moniker. The correct name is simply 'Catholic', meaning universal.
Some people like to use the term 'Roman Catholic' to differentiate it from 'other' Catholics, despite the fact that if a person were to ask the directions to the local Catholic church, no one would point somebody in the direction of any other church than that of a Catholic one. One wouldn't be asked, "Which type of Catholic church?", simply because it is understood that 'Catholic' only has one meaning.
While I agree that there is only one catholic pope, there are other sui iuris eastern catholics. The nearest catholic church example only works where there isn't a byzantine, armenian, or whatever catholic church nearby.
It is also relevant to mention that the last time the Church referred to itself as the Roman Catholic Church was back when Pius XII was the Pope.
I have a photograph of the list of popes carved in stone in St Peter's. According to that, the third pope was Cletus and some of the spellings given there are not accepted by you, such as Eleutherus and Agapitus. Can you be more lenient?
