Test your knowledge of the noble houses of Westeros!
All information is sourced from the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' book series and the website 'A Wiki of Ice and Fire'. The book series is prioritised above the television series in this quiz, though the majority of information is correct to both of them.
Some houses' words are unknown; this is denoted by a series of three dashes in the relevant box. Many sigils are only verifiably true to the standard of semi-canon, but are accurate insofar as is possible.
Please feel free to point out any mistakes or offer any improvement/critical suggestions in the comments below. Most importantly, have a good time nerding out over ASOIAF/Game of Thrones!
Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed the quiz. Feel free to make a translated version, that'd be great.
With regards to the multiple answer rows, I think it was a case of going to Design Grid, setting the number of Blocks to 1 and then going in to manual design mode and adding columns; something like that anyway, I'm sure you'll figure it out!
*There's not enough time to complete it. At the very least five minutes more would be needed.
*Some of the sigils are impossible to guess without being more generous with the type-ins. "Axe" should work for "Battle-axe", "Trees" should work for "Sentinel trees", "Tower" or "Beacon" should work for "Tower with torch", etc
*You choose to include VERY minor houses that do not even appear in the novels. Houses Crane, Merlyn, Farwynd, Staedmon, Ryger or Lydden do not really belong here. They should be eliminated, or replaced by other more prominent houses.
*There's a few inaccuracies with House Baelish. First, its seat is not "the Fingers". It's an unnamed keep at the smallest peninsula in the Fingers. And by the time the main novels start, Lord Petyr has hanged its sigil from the Titan's head to the mockingbird, which at the very least should also be accepted. However, its a rather insignificant house, so probably it would make more sense to take it out of the quizz.
(otherwise, wow awesome)
However I read the books in french, so I would like to use your quiz and translate it in french, am I allowed to do so ?
Another question, how did you manage to put several "answer rows", I can't figure out how to do it in the quiz maker.
Thank you for the awesome quiz
