Learnt a few lakes I never knew existed... Funny watching them go from healthy blue to algal bloom green when I got the big three right, then saw the rest turn even more algally crazy/polluted red!
Only knew the Big 3 + Kivu. Know about Kivu because it's apparently explosive or something, due to high amount of some gas at the bottom of it (which Rwanda extracts). Also because of the Kivu ebola epidemic in the DRC.
For a while, I thought Lake Kariba was one of the African Great Lakes. Turns out, it's an artificial lake/reservoir! At 5,580 square kilometres, it's bigger than Lake Albert!
"Victoria and Albert" is a pretty common name for things, especially in (post) English-colonial Africa.
