"In political science, a revolution (Latin: revolutio, "a turn around") is a fundamental change in political power and political organization"
So what do pompous condescending prats suffering inferiority complexes and searching for ways to validate their smugness on the other side of the pond call it when a country engages in popular rebellion against its former colonial masters, severing all ties and creating a new constitution and government, if not a fundamental change in political organization?
Kal is carrying a giant 'Chip' on his shoulders and now and again thinks he is gaining points by using his vitriolic language to pursue the historical past while forgetting the like misdeeds of every other country.
That's some serious Freudian projection there. I'm carrying a chip on my shoulder? Because I'm pointing out the bitterness that inspires bigotry and condescension in posts by other users, that makes me bitter? You're like Donald Trump complaining about "fake news." I don't care about points. I don't care about nationalist pride or any other form of tribalism. I am just speaking the truth.
To quote Wikipedia (my emphasis): "Impeachment is the process by which a legislative body formally levels charges against a high official of government. Impeachment does not necessarily mean removal from office; it is only a formal statement of charges, akin to an indictment in criminal law, and is thus only the first step towards removal."
I tried a few different iterations before I finally got it all typed in there correctly. I knew what I meant! :-)
I got them all but I agree with other commenters that this quiz was pretty particular on what it would accept for answers. Had to go back a few times and re-type things when my answer wasn't acceptable (Ron/Ronald, USVI, etc.)
Changing the impeachment question feels like a cop-out, and it doesn't really make sense in the scope of the quiz. "Impeached presidents" is a group of three. "First two states to ratify the constitution" wouldn't fit as a question, because they come as a group of 13. Something like "States that existed as independent nations" would be better.
Might consider accepting Teddy for the other Roosevelt?
"Two time Olympic Host CITIES" ?????
Many thanks!!
