Double face palm. Did the entire quiz and couldn't understand why you wouldn't take Nottingham for the English City on the Trent. Despite having got most of the answers it didn't dawn on me that they all started with the letter "S" and it was an "S" themed quiz.
How about changing the language question into more geographical one? Such as "Historical region in Poland and Czech Republic" (answer: Silesia). Or "Capital of Crimea" (answer: Simferopol). Or maybe "The largest city on the Crimean Peninsula" (Sevastopol)
It is in the top 10 of europe's biggest countries, so relatively, it isnt that small (especially for an island, it is the in the top 10 biggest islands worldwide).
^But Germany, which is larger, more populous and has a bigger economy than the UK is represented by only 2 questions in the quiz. Furthermore, many of the UK-related questions are somewhat obscure, while there could be far more internationally famous answers from the rest of Europe. There does seem to be a bias, even though I'm personally fine with it.
Hard to be as switched on as me!
Come on, UK shouldn't represent a third of a European Geography quiz for such a (relatively) tiny island !
Could you try one with no UK-related questions, as an experiment?
Just to see if you get any complaints - my guess is that you would....
