Double face palm. Did the entire quiz and couldn't understand why you wouldn't take Nottingham for the English City on the Trent. Despite having got most of the answers it didn't dawn on me that they all started with the letter "S" and it was an "S" themed quiz.

Hard to be as switched on as me!

Ha! I often find myself using the rules of the previous quiz on the current one (with the inevitably bad results).

I'm happy to not be the only one who didn't notice that until after the quiz ended :D

A lot of people probably know the word "street" in a few languages. I don't speak French but I know "rue" for example.

Could you add more spelling options for the cathedrals? Italian ones in Italian for instance.

"San Marco" isn't accepted, but "Marco" is. Just an oversight, I assume.

How about changing the language question into more geographical one? Such as "Historical region in Poland and Czech Republic" (answer: Silesia). Or "Capital of Crimea" (answer: Simferopol). Or maybe "The largest city on the Crimean Peninsula" (Sevastopol)

And perhaps include less UK-related questions : 7 out of 22 are about the UK here...

Come on, UK shouldn't represent a third of a European Geography quiz for such a (relatively) tiny island !

It is in the top 10 of europe's biggest countries, so relatively, it isnt that small (especially for an island, it is the in the top 10 biggest islands worldwide).

^But Germany, which is larger, more populous and has a bigger economy than the UK is represented by only 2 questions in the quiz. Furthermore, many of the UK-related questions are somewhat obscure, while there could be far more internationally famous answers from the rest of Europe. There does seem to be a bias, even though I'm personally fine with it.

This is an English quiz on English JetPunk. If this were a German quiz on German JetPunk one would except there to be more German representation.

Interesting that we're complaining about Germany but France has 0 questions.

I think it's fair criticism if we see that the UK has as many questions as Germany, France, Italy and Spain combined.

It doesn't matter if you're from the UK or not, you should be able to answer some questions about other countries as well.

Does France have any "S" related geography? I guess the Seine would work, can't think of much else. Is Savoy in France?

One question's "nationality" could be converted from UK to German - by changing the answer from Saxons to Saxony.

Considering the biggest country in Europe both by area and by population got only 1 question... Seems questions are quite a bit biased.

The questions about Britain were also significantly more obscure than average, suggesting that we ought to know more about the UK than other parts of Europe.

@ relessness or QM, whatever you prefer.

Could you try one with no UK-related questions, as an experiment?

Just to see if you get any complaints - my guess is that you would....

Somehow thought of Siena even though I'm not familiar with it but didn't try it. I've been to Split so I guessed it but I didn't realize it was the 2nd largest city in Croatia, interesting

7/22 question were about the UK.

Meanwhile, countries like Slovenia or Serbia (starting with S) have 0 xd. Cool ig
