Wow. Who knew that nobody but Africa is diverse?

The way that the source determines diversity (and "ethnicity")... really just favors countries that are poorly integrated... where many different populations live isolated from one another and maybe don't share a common language or other cultural artifacts due to this fact. Naturally... if your country has no roads, airports or telephones, that would get you ranked highly using such methodology.

If you looked at, for example, the number of different countries/continents with significant representation in more than one large city... probably not a single country in Africa would make such a list. Possibly excepting South Africa, Egypt, or Morocco.

Two tribes in Africa within miles of each other can have more genetic difference than there is between a European and Asian person.

This doesn't speak for the actual methodology used, or this quiz, since ethnicity is more about culture than genetics (the same reason race and ethnicity are separate on the US Census - an Afrocarribean Puerto Rican is just as Latino as a white Argentinian), but whichever way you look at it, biologically or ethnically, it holds up. The only way it doesn't make sense is through the lens of the outdated concept of race. You're right, though - isolation between tribes is what makes this definition favor African countries in terms of diversity.

I disagree with the methodology but good quiz, I guess.

Can Cote D'Ivoire be accepted for Ivory Coast as that is how it is named in most quizzes? Also, can Gambia be accepted for The Gambia?

with the plethora of African nations, it seems they are including all the different tribal groups as being ethnically different.

Agree with Cote D'Ivoire, since umm... that's the official name.
