But is it worth adding, since New York is already the answer for the second clue? Perhaps move that clue down to the top of the state list, with the clue "US State or 'the city that never sleeps'".
I'd like to suggest a few possible south american questions. Nazca is the most obvious one. Natal is a rather big and well-known brazilian city. I also thought of the word "Nevado", which is used in the name of many mountains in the Andes, in Colombia, Argentina and Chile.
@ ander217, The ideal "Americas Geography" quiz would have more than 1 question about the USA; the rest of North America; Central America & Caribbean; and South America. Anyway, I think some people are getting too angry in the comments, for the sole reason that details aren't perfect in every quiz.
'Niagara Falls' not the name of any single waterfall, but refers to the set of the three waterfalls on the Niagara River that separate the cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Niagara Falls, New York. The famous one is on the the Canadian side and actually called 'Horseshoe Falls', while the other two are on the American side and are called 'American Falls' and 'Bridal Veil Falls'.
oh. whoops. yeah I was thinking of Angel Falls as the highest. Victoria Falls is not even relevant as it is in Africa, not the Americas. and also doesn't start with N
It's fine to design a test as you see fit, but you should be honest with the title. Specially when it's featured. This test is restricted to North America, and the title is misleading.
Agreed if it was a north america quiz i wouldnt have taken it. I wanted to know what i knew about middle and south america and yes i know middle america isnt a continent but a region). Otherwise i would ve taken an usa quiz. Maybe that is the reason? To get more people to take it? I wouldnt know why though, if people dont take one quiz they ll chose another. It is not the only quuz on the site, so no need for false advertising.
with the right title everybody is happy and people will get what they came for. (It is like calling a quiz cats and dogs and not having questions about one of them)
I'm so bad at Canadian provinces. I thought, there might be one called "Northern...something". The answer that sprang to mind was "Northern Wastes". Then I thought, oh, no, wait, that's in Middle-Earth.
Not the largest, either. If I remember correctly, there is a series of rapids on the Congo which are the largest by volume.
If Angel Falls is the tallest, and the falls on the Congo are the biggest in terms of the sheer amount of water flowing over it, then that does not really leave any way for Niagara to be the largest.
It's been at least half a year since someone said "why no South America", so is it time to say it again without looking at what's already been posted? I accept that there just aren't that many well known N's in South America. It's true. The most glaring omission for this quiz is Nicaragua (then Nuevo Leon). Really what this quiz makes me think is 'hmm, I never realized there are so few N's other than in North America'.
No, it makes sense for Niagara Falls to be the biggest. After all, America is the biggest country in the world. And they have the Grand Canyon, which is the biggest canyon in the world.
Name me three popular locations in South America that begin with the letter "N" and I'll drop to my knees and beg the quiz master to include them. (Remember now, Popular, not obscure).
I'd seriously question that the Navajo is the largest native American territory. It's tiny compared to Nunavut (which definitely should count, it was split from NWT specifically as Inuit land) and Greenland (which is more debatable in status, yet is more than 90% Inuit). They're both around 30 times larger...
Could we get a few more spelling exceptions for Nunavut? I tried 10 or so different combinations of vowels before finally looking up how to spell the word correctly. I don't know how many type ins there are for it but a few more probably wouldn't hurt.
"Horseshoe Falls." - So, it is NIAGARA FALLS!

Quiz Master: Excellent quiz!
