The problem with such small countries is that a handful of trees can get you up to 1% "forest cover" very easily, whereas in a country like Libya or Mauritania, you'd need to cover more than the entire surface area of said microstates in forest to even gain tenths of a percent.
Even if you count the papal gardens? I expected Nauru on the forest list, but no, it's surprisingly green these days after they carved all the phosphate out.

If you do that then you would have to do the same for the southernmost countries and include territories like South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands or go even further and count territory claims in the Antarctic Treaty System because Antarctica and territories like South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands are still land that exists on earth and are claimed by a country. The forest % has me scratching my head a little, with Vatican City not on there. I also tried Nauru and Maldives. It's hard to believe the Vatican has enough trees to be considered forest. This was a very enjoyable quiz.
