Nice one. I did better than I expected myself to do. One little mistake: When you show the answers, it says 'This city is:' when it should say something like 'This landmark is:'
this was too easy for this geography and travel buff. 100% with 2:35 to go. It helps that I have actually been to all of these places. bragging finished!
Good quiz, little confused why out of all the things in Chicago you went with Wrigley. There's a ton more things that would be familiar with more people. By that same line of thinking Boston should be on here with the Green Giant, and Saint Louis with Busch Stadium.
It doesn't say it has to be the city's most famous landmark. And just because the quiz maker happened to use a ballpark for one city, that doesn't mean s/he has to use a ballpark for any other cities. 67% of people are correctly guessing Wrigley Field, so I don't think it's TOO obscure.
Thanks for this, it has really helped me with some of the locations of landmarks I had heard of but didn't pinpoint on a map before - like Mt Rushmore and Gateway Arch.
I really think Chicago has better options than Wrigley Field. Sears Tower (it's not the Willis Tower, no matter what the sign says)? Navy Pier? The Loop (makes as much sense as the whole French Quarter)?
Even as a die hard, cradle to the grave St Louis Cardinal fan, I can't think of anything that says Chicago more clearly than that place where their team plays at baseball, whatever their name is. Just kidding guys. It's an American icon of the game and its history. Excellent choice.
Easy for americans, tough when you are not from the US, interesting either way. Like kiwiquizzer said, now ou have a better idea of some of the locations of landmarks you had heard about, but never really knew where the were.
Space needle for example I knew was seattle, cause it is often mentioned together. But for many others that is not the case, and only the landmark itself is mentioned. Like the hoover dam. (All of this is besides knowing where the specific city/state is, that is extra knowledge needed haha)
Sounds right to me.
