Reguarding Buffalo Buffalo...: when I found out about this sentence it took me a while to understand how it was possible so I thought I'd try and make a quiz about i!
Reguarding the 'Paesi del Mondo': while I did your quiz three countries sounded 'wrong' to me, the third one being Seychelles; so I checked all three on wikipedia, Seychelles was listed as Seychelles (or alternatively Seicelle) but the other two were Azerbaigian and Isole Comore.
Having gone back to the quiz, I see that I had already made a comment in August reguarding Bahrain which is Bahrein in Italian (although Bahrain semms to be accepted, too, according to wikipedia)
Also, places like http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Vincent_e_Grenadine seem to be called 'San Vincenzo e Grenadine'
In the Italian alphabet you don't have JKWXY except when you import foreign words which is wy Azerbaijan sounded wrong to me.
I'm not sure whether the English alternatives are accepted in Italian. I would guess it might be possible for Azerbaijan and I guess not for 'Isole Comores' since their ufficiale name (again looking at wikipedia page) is Union des Comores which I guess becomes Comore in Italian and Comoros in English
