The Orange Free State was named after the Orange River.

And the Orange River was named by a Dutch explorer after the Dutch ruling family, the House of Orange.

Well it's no longer accurate to call it the Orange Free State, since now they have oranges, so I guess that's why they changed the name..

It was named after the Orange River which was named after the Dutch royal family, the House of Orange.

The countries have pretty large populations. Would be interesting to see a quiz on orange production per capita. NZ might make that list. I actually guessed it for this one.

Nah I typed just nearly all the countries in the world. I found this rather tough, some I knew and where obvious, then a few neighboring countries. But for nearly half I had to guess.
