Geography Mega Generator Puzzle #3

In this Double Generator quiz, find two geographical locations. The 12-letter location is made from the 12 purple letters on the outside edge of the 4 x 4 grid; and the 8-letter location is comprised of the letters in the 8 green shaded squares. There are also the usual 20 questions, whose answers are drawn from all of the letters in the 4 x 4 grid. Each letter can only be used once.

Twister is really a nickname for tornado. Maybe add that to the question, or say 'or a 1996 movie'

True, it's informal, though hopefully that doesn't stop people getting the answer. Have added the movie reference to the clue.

Suriname isn't Latin though, it was a Dutch colony.

Interesting - we'd always assumed "Latin America" to be every country south of the US, rather than the countries where Spanish/Portuguese/French is spoken! (and some definitions do take our approach). We've dropped the "Latin" from the clue to be unambiguous.

Within the letters of the grid, I also found Serbia, Taiwan and Bosnia, but this did not help my score! I scored 12/22, thanks for the quiz!
