Some things I just don't understand, like how on a quiz with 18,000+ takes and a very niche topic, the average score is 63. Honestly, I would have expected that the average score of a test taker would have been around ten.
and yes, I know that JetPunkers are generally above average in intelligence, my guess is taking that into account. For those of you who scored high, how did you get that knowledge?
I notice the same ambiguity with the Famous people from Georgia and Biggest cities in Georgia quizzes, and I'm thinking that it's intentional and intended as a joke (at least I hope that's what it is).
What's the reasoning behind featuring a quiz like this?
It seems extremely niche. And not of much interest to a general audience.
No hate meant to anyone. Respect to those of you who have the ability & drive to memorize counties. I just figure if you're going to memorize 159 counties, you're probably willing to search the quizzes out.
Maybe it's Georgia day or something.
IMO, I'd rather see something like, "Main US Fighter Planes 1940-2022", or, "Leaps In Satellite Technology", or, "List of Countries By Health Care Index", etc. - some interesting subject which I've never considered spending time looking up, and which I then learn from. I'm not going to memorize 159 Georgian countries- maybe 5-20.
This is just yet another quiz that I don't even bother trying. I just look it up and type it in to get the 5 points. Unless you are a savant or an expert on Georgia geography, you probably aren't going to get it.
Like others have said, what's really the point? It's just regurgitating information, and on a niche topic. I had to memorize all of the Oklahoma counties (77) in Oklahoma History, I've forgotten most of them, but could still do decently, I think. I would still look up a list of the counties though to fill in the blanks.
Sure, it takes time to make the quiz, and it's nothing against the quiz maker, but I don't understand the featuring on it. I just looked and there is even a Texas one which has 254 counties. I guess if one is a masochist and likes to memorize vast amounts of information, fine, but count me out of that.
I'm not from Georgia, been there a couple of times. I liked the quiz, even though I scored poorly. Guessing counties pulls in some deep quiz skills- a whole range of trivia to guess at: early Presidents, geographical features, colonial crops, Native Americana, other popular county names in the region or total country, etc.
Please keep publishing 'niche' quizzes. I might learn something new and unexpected. Like how much I f***ing love county quizzes.
