Cough drops in Japan are nothing like cough drops in the US. US cough drops are very 'medicinal'. In most other countries, cough drops are much more 'natural'. Like lemon and honey, natural mint, eucalyptus, herbs... not cloying cherry flavor.

I've never been to Japan either, but you can have good guesses based on some cultural knowledge of the country, and a bit of common sense. It won't get you 100%, but you can have a reasonable attempt.

This is a great quiz idea. I had a coworker come back from Japan with all sorts of different Japanese food including an unbelievable number of Kit-Kat flavors. It was fun for everyone to try them all.

Literally 50-50 for me on all of these. I thought there would be more fake "Japanese-sounding" ones though, so I should've trusted maxism a bit more :) Great fun.

Not really sure why but I don't find cough drop particularly surprising, certainly seems more practical than some of the flavors on this quiz, but that being said, I did guess fried chicken and Swedish meatballs to be real because I felt like it was so ridiculous they probably made it

14/15, I've got wrong the linen one because I didn't remember what linen was. It was surpisingly easy considering my source of knowledge about Japan are animes and some videos of a brazilian living there.
