Did you know: back in the territory days of pro wrestling, most territories had their own version of the NWA United States Championship? In fact, there's at least twelve commonly known versions of that belt that were in existence at one time or another since 1953. However, only one lineage, or version, can trace its roots through the NWA, WCW, and WWE, that's the version started in Jim Crockett's Mid-Atlantic territory in 1975. This version became known as the undisputed United States championship in 1981, became the WCW United States Championship in 1991, lasted through that company's existence, and was briefly defended in WWE up until 2001. In 2003, it was revived, with its lineage intact, and is still defended today as a secondary championship, alternating between the Raw and SmackDown! brands over the years. Can you name all the holders of the longest lasting, multi-company, United States Championship?

Alternate spellings may exist for some names that might be more difficult to spell. Wrestlers who appeared under alternate names and characters can be guessed with just one of those names.

"Date Won" means the calendar date on which the wrestler won the title, not the WWE "recognised" date. "R#" corresponds to the cumulative reign number for that respective champion.
Vacant: On a number of occasions and for a variety of reasons, the IC title has been vacated by its holder. The date relating to each vacancy is when the champion relinquished the belt. There is one exception: the vacancy on 1/3/2000 occured when the two wrestlers simultaneously pinned one another. Some sources credit the time between then and the next reign as both wrestlers being co-holders of the belt, but WWE themselves regard this as a vacancy and for the purposes of this quiz it shall be regarded as such.
