Shouldn't "St Lawrence" work?

agreed, however, I did spell 'saint' when the other was not accepted. But maps have it with the 'st'

Good catch, I've updated so that "St" will work with all the various names of that particular river.

nice quiz! Very difficult for spelling though...tried many versions of many names without luck, but hey, that's the challenge!

Good quiz. Can I suggest that the word Rio (which means river) should not be required, just as "river" itself isn't? Also I was surprised that the Orinoco didn't make the list. Is it not long enough?

Fair enough! It's already the case on some, but I made it work on the rest as well. And the Orinoco River, according to Wikipedia, is 2,140km, so just a bit shy of the top 50!
