Same for me in Dutch. That's another realization here. The same I had earlier with Tunisia, which is written in Dutch with an e in the 4th position.

While not wrong, leaving out the "u" in Mogadishu is very inauspicious, because in many languages (including Somali itself), it is spelled with an "o" at the end. Same for Addis Ababa, where the /ə/ is transliterated as an "e" in many languages.
