Not so sure about those population totals. Denver County really should be at the top based on all the information I have (including where I live).

El Paso has a larger population because the county of Denver is just the city itself, while El Paso county includes not just the city of Colorado Springs but also the whole surrounding area. If you look at population density rather than total numbers, Denver is about 14 times as dense as El Paso, which makes more intuitive sense.

I checked Google Maps with the coordinates Dimei somehow figured out. The closest point in Colorado to where the picture was taken is around 234 km (145 miles) away.

Here's the coordinates of where that image was taken if anybody was curious: 38° 31′ 28.38″ N, 111° 45′ 0.74″ W (Sevier County, UT)

Hard to make a case this site isn't "US Centric" when this and the incorporated cities of Colorado are featured lol

iirc broomfield was in 4 different counties before incorporation as a county and i think it was hard to govern. its also the most recently formed county

That's interesting, I didn't know that. Especially as someone who lives less than 15 minutes away form Broomfield County. I did know it was a very recently formed county though.

The thumbnail image for this quiz is of a quaking aspen colony called Pando, which is one of the largest and oldest organisms in the world. It's also in Utah, not Colorado.
