Biggest World Cities within 200 Km (or 100), hints on dots
Name the cities that are more populous than any other within 200 kilometers (and some of the 100 km ones). When you type a city you will receive letters hints on nearby cities (within 400 km) that have a smaller population. To read the hints move the mouse over the small dots that will appear. You are shown letters from the second one onwards: the number of letters shown depends on the population (you are shown more letters for smaller cities)
Answers are sorted alphabetically; you are shown the first letter that is different from the previous answer and the number of nearby cities that can activate the hinted dot.
Data from citypopulation.de and geonames.org Dot size depends on population
Biggest cities within 100 km (but less than 200 km) are included if: - They are a capital - They have a population of at least 500k - The second closest larger city is at least 300 km away - In their country they are one of the 5 cities furthest away from a larger one
Dot colours: - Blue: capital - Dark blue: agglomeration containing capital - Purple: external capital - Red: agglomeration without main city - Brown: no larger city within 400 km (hence no hints)
