it’s actually faster to systematically list consonant-vowel and vowel-consonant pairs and then just type common double consonant starts of words like “sw”, “th”, etc until time runs out, than to think about which country/capital/state starts with what letters.
I think there should be a Jetpunk standard for Ivory Coast / Côte d'Ivoire. In some quizzes both are accepted, in some "Ivory Coast" shows up but not "Côte d'Ivoire". However, in this one "IV" doesn't work at all.
or different partial quizzes US States, Countries, then Capitals
or... ability to turn the time off in which case no points allocated until we can do it with time on
No point in putting an impossible quiz out there with no way to practice except literally studying rather practice on shorter quizzes by category or be able to turn the time off
I know al the countries, states and their capitals but still
And having had another go, I think the time limit should be increased - not that I mind a quiz I can't complete, but with a limit this short, the only way to score highly is to go mechanically through letter pairs (ba, be, bi, bo, br, bu, etc), whereas it's a more interesting quiz if you actually try to identify all the countries, states and capitals. I know you can always take it untimed, but a bit of time pressure is part of the fun.
there are many quizzes with loads of extra time but this would be better if there were three times to select from:
beginner, intermediate and the advanced one you have here
@6 min @4min crazy hard one @2min
