Country Logic Puzzle by Scambigol #5 - starting with vowels
Fill in the table using all countries whose name starts with a vowel, remembering that bordering countries are adjacent. The clues give you information on rows and columns, the country list on the top helps you keep track of what's missing.
Note that Ivory Coast and Eswatini are missing because when the quiz was designed their jetpunk name was different.
'all' in the sense that any country with land on the equator will be in this row - but not in the sense that any country in this row has land on the equator
Ouch - I got them all, feeling quite confused, and only understood that meaning after reviewing all the answers afterwards. Maybe make the clues something like "The South American countries" and "The equatorial countries"?
Like scambigol said, any country that is in South America that starts with a vowel is in this column, but that doesn't mean the column is filled with South American countries. There aren't 7 South American countries that start with vowels.
Although I took untimed, I thought this quiz was better than the others, because I really like the rules by column and row. It also was easier to understand, because you didn't have to go look at the instructions to know what to do, it was very simple, etc. I really enjoyed this quiz.
I don't think the clues given are enough to determine the position of all countries exactly. For example, row 5 could start with Andorra, Austria, and end with Albania. That order would still fit all the clues. And for the remaining countries in column 4, I pretty much had to do trial and error, as I couldn't find any clues that would fix those countries to their specific field. The order here seems rather random.
