I just went through Random African flags quiz and had the same until maybe the 10th time. I'd say 8 African ones plus Myanmar and Bolivia could be confused, the key seems to be Bolivia with Red-Yellow-Green that like a rainbow continues BLue-Indigo-VIolet (BoLIVIa). Guinea is a sideways Bolivia, then you have Ghana (Bolivia with a star), Myanmar (Bolivia colours starting on yellow & BIG star), Guinea-Bissau (Bolivia clockwise with a star), Benin (Bolivia anti-clockwise), Mali (the anti-Guinea), Senegal (Anti-Guinea with a star), Cameroon (Senegal but swap red and yellow) and Togo doing its green-yellow stripy thing.

the map is there so if you have just a few answers missing you can see what countries haven't been guessed yet. Your suggestion: there are such quizzes for continents but for the whole world it would be too hard to click small countries on the world map

I remember them by the Red stripe.

Guinea is Red-Yellow-Green. Mali is Green-Yellow-Red.

I always remember that reading left to right, Guinea's flag is red-yellow-green - "R-Y-G for Guinea". Then Mali is the other one. :-)

If you are gonna include Kosovo and Taiwan then Palestine and Western Sahara should be an answer as well. I guess I don't need to stress the fact that more countries around the world recognise Palestine as opposed to the other two and that they are an observer UN member unlike Kosovo and Taiwan.

The main reason is that they're included in JetPunk 196 recognized countries. It's not American bias. In modern times to be a country you need territory, people and international recognition. Kosovo and Taiwan have partial recognition, WS and Palestine don't control their territory.

I love the quiz, but it's a little unconvenient to go vertically for the next flag, would be a lot more efficient if going row by row, that way you can fill 12-16 flags before having to wheel down and never have to wheel up

I've gotten to the point where distinguishing El Salvador and Nicaragua, Romania and Chad, Monaco and Indonesia has become an easy thing to do. Guessing the right one on the first guess every time.

Some flags feel European, some feel Middle Eastern, some feel African, and others feel Central American. BUT, Peru's flag baffles me. That has such a European look to it that I always forget it's a South American flag.
