1 second left, I used Maine, New York, Rhode Island, Maryland, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, California, Nebraska, Mississippi, Texas, Alaska, and Hawaii, 14 of them
YEEEEESSS!! My torture is finally over. My heart dropped when I had to do Pennsylvania since most of the time I type Lennsylvania but I still did it with 1 or 2 secs left!
to complete it do it in this order: iowa, missouri, utah, montana, oregon, alaska, hawaii, georgia texas, mississippi, michigan, maryland, new york, rhodeisland, maine, and the others i might have missed
Definitely not the quickest way, but I did: Idaho, Nebraska, Texas, Minnesota, Illinois, Ohio, Massachusetts, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, Georgia, Mississippi, California, Hawaii and Alaska with 4 seconds left
Again, the single complaint I have. 30 seconds is ridiculous. It is physically impossible for me to type that fast. When it's to get a badge it's even worse. Although I do have an idea,,,
Quite literally impossible. No matter what you run out of time — everyone’s lying about finishing, because I would have done so by now if they had. I’ve studied geography for 12 years and know exactly what states would work, but no matter what time runs out.
Not impossible if you know how to type. I type about 80-90 WPM, so this was a piece of cake for me. Wasn’t hard whatsoever. But if you can’t type fast, this is very difficult.
I got it done with like .5 seconds to spare with: Idaho, California, Texas, Kansas, South Carolina, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Maine, Montana, Illinois, Hawaii, Alaska
this route's pretty easy to do even if you hesitate, I got 50/50 in 0:19 with mistakes, managed to bring it down to a 0:14, and I don't even use home row.
smartly's "Idaho, Arizona, Missouri, Louisiana, Minnesota, Ohio, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, Rhode Island, New Hampshire" is shorter by three letters and two guesses. dang.
it turns out there's actually a name for this in graph theory. subsets like these are called "dominating sets" and finding them has been proven to be an NP-complete problem: that is, there is no efficient way to compute them. so... pen&paper brute force it is.
Did it on my little phone with 2 seconds left. Maine Massachusetts Pennsylvania Georgia Tennessee Texas Missouri Wisconsin Utah Iowa Ohio Montana Idaho Hawaii Alaska Arizona. I think it's all...
Hawaii
Rhode Island
Idaho
Arizona
Missouri
Arkansas
Minnesota
Georgia
Indiana
New York
Maine
Maryland
with enough practise i got it down to 18 seconds left
Screwed up spelling South Carolina but finished with 0:01 lol
Not for lack of trying!
That was complex
North Carolina, Alabama, Texas, California, Washington, South Dakota, Michigan, Maine, Rhode Island, New York, Missouri, Kentucky, Delaware
sorry if I missed any
The two word names still work if you leave out the spaces.
That gets answer
Nebraska, Nevada, Texas and Michigan are my saviors
14 states with 2 seconds left
The order I used was Iowa, Colorado, Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii, Alabama, Ohio, Rhode Island, North Carolina, and Maine
I‘ve translated the quiz to german. If it isn‘t okay for you, please contact me.
But I have something to admit.
I may or may not have copy/pasted the first 2 from another tab & the address bar.
I didn't want to learn how to properly type, and now I'm facing the consequences 4 years later.
In 91 inputs:
Idaho, Arizona, Arkansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Georgia, Ohio, Maryland, NewYork, Maine, RhodeIsland, Alaska, Hawaii
this route's pretty easy to do even if you hesitate, I got 50/50 in 0:19 with mistakes, managed to bring it down to a 0:14, and I don't even use home row.
In 92 inputs (12 guesses):
Idaho, Arizona, Arkansas, SouthDakota, Michigan, Kentucky, Georgia, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maine, Alaska, Hawaii
not really any longer, might feel nicer because you don't have to tack on Rhode Island or guess stuff that's already filled in.
you could totally optimize it further. at some point it might be more effective to measure these by how far you have to move your fingers.
Alaska, Arizona, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, West Virginia
