A Jacket is not a coat;Mexican food: Taco (no indication that it has to be plural). The common definition of "orate" is to speak or to speak pompously, not declaim.

"Jackets" is just a clue, not a perfect synonym. It's the highest guessed answer at 93%, along with tacos. And how do you propose using just the letters T A C and O to solve the 'necktie' and 'kind of guard' clues? All the answers in that column need to include the letter S, which is also why tacos must be plural...

Not sure "Insurance type" is a good clue, I got this just from the anagram. Maybe "fitness test" or similar?

Some real nitpicks here. I thought it was great, as usual! Some really satisfying anagrams in there, and typically thoughtful concise clues.

I liked the quiz, but I could use a bit more time. Would you consider changing "Math point" to "Number system"? For me, math point sounds geometric (like vertex).
