Rearrange the letters in the grid on the left to make one 9-letter word. In addition to this - drawing only from these 9 letters - solve each answer from the clues given.
Each grid letter may be used only once within an individual answer
I'm not sure I like the clue for Violent. "using" would imply the answer would be a gerund as well. I read that as applying a physical force to...like pushing something or imparting a force to a mass rather than being physical with a person. Other than that, I loved it. Great quiz idea.
What a wonderful puzzle. Thanks! I kept trying to use the word "NOIR" for "Hitchcock film," thinking it was referring to the type of films he did. Would the puzzle be lessened if you said, "Hitchcock film title" instead? Thanks for this puzzle. I look forward to seeing more like this.
loin... I tried groin and loin for the abdomen thing. And had many more words that could be made with this, but not listing them cause my head is spinning atm...
To be precise, there's no A in the 9 letters to choose from, so remember that the V in "red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet" stands for...
I wouldn't call invert turn upside down (that would be something like flip or revolve). If you invert the colours on an image you are not turning it upside down. I think something like "make the opposite" would work for all cases of invert. Since it is as much inside out and negative version (both opposites of of the initial state) as it is upside down
(upside down for me personally is the last thing I think about with inversion the other two, twisting it inside out come first)
Second, a glove is not a mitten and a mitten is not a glove
(upside down for me personally is the last thing I think about with inversion the other two, twisting it inside out come first)
