Only missed Barcelona, argh! Just my opinion but didn't like the 2 letter abbv, I think it's too short to be answer (would have preferred Oran or Aral for example).
Just saying if your a middle Eastern native, you aren't nessearily an arab. Im from Iran, and I'm not an arab in iranian, we don't speak arabic, and we hate to be called arabic. Please stop this stereotyping
Thanks for your comment and I'm sorry you feel stereotyped. That's not what the quiz or clue is implying. Not all vast bodies of water are oceans. Not all farm buildings are barns. Not all narrow streets are lanes. And not all middle Eastern natives are Arab, as you say. But the answers must come from the grid letters so Arab is the particular answer that applies in this case.
