tfw your brain is able to think of "equid" and "pentacle" but not "thief" or "umpire."

Great work as always!

I got pentacle and umpire, but not equid or thief. No idea what that says about about my brain

For some reason it "feels" to me like 'druid' is a proper noun that would be capitalized...

"Abrupt" would be another good one to add.

Yeah, it seems conspicuously absent from the list. I guess because they wanted the same number in each category?

If I included 'abrupt', I'd have to also include the other 6 letter word that ends in 'rupt'. So I left those two out.

That other six letter word that ends in “rupt” is irrupt, if anyone’s wondering

21/24 on the first attempt.

Kind of annoyed that "barnacle" doesn't work as an 8-letter word ending in -acle... seems like it should be valid, right?

Congrats on 21/24 on your first attempt! Barnacle is not valid, because the word-ending required is 'tacle', not just 'acle'.

Interrupt?

Interrupt has nine letters, and you need to find words with five, seven and eight letters.

I think equid is too obscure of a word and should be excluded.

Great quiz Kiwi. I got 20/24. It's the longer ones that really test you.

15, much tougher than the other one. I got pentacle, but missed fluid... Never would have gotten lozenge and equid though
