There should be a clarification that British variations could be used. I had no idea what word ended in "dour".

Not the British version, it's the "non-USA" version, or the common version in English.

Whinge isn't used much in the USA, we usually say "whine" or "complain" instead. I mostly know it from Jetpunk.
