Lest anyone think that these teams are chronic postseason underachievers, only 4 of these teams (Xavier, Missouri, St Joseph's, and Minnesota) have been projected as Final Four teams through their seeds (in the 41 years that the tournament has been seeded), and each of those 4 teams were thus projected only 1 year apiece.

Minnesota made the final four in 1997. They advanced out the Midwest Regional as the #1 seed and eventually lost to Kentucky in the Final Four
