The Project
On the 2nd of March 2025 Quizmaster made a new quiz, Multiple Choice City Quiz – Tokyo. Since then he has made a few more of these, but also what's happened is other's have joined in and started making their own Multiple Choice City Quizzes, hereby referred to as MCCQs.
Poirot (baptistegorce) put it upon himself to start a playlist compiling all the MCCQs and also made this map of everyone's contributions.
What to Do
If you care for joining, even just to do one city, maybe your hometown, hopefully you follow some of the guidelines below.
Also here is an example quiz, it's featured, so feel free to copy it and use it as a template for a new one.
DOs
• Keep the title consistent; title: Multiple Choice City Quiz – InsertCity
• Keep the format consistent; 10 multiple choice questions about the city.
• Keep the questions on the city or close area; don't make a general question about Canada on a Toronto or a general Islam question on a Riyadh quiz as an example.
• Add this to the caveats:
Looking for quizzes about other cities? Check <a href="https://www.jetpunk.com/users/baptistegorce/playlists/multiple-choice-city">this playlist</a> or explore the <a href="https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=10q0BnGnLbjC7KRujYI12qvLW9MWcqwY&usp=sharing">world map</a>.
It's not necessary of course but it will help more people see the rest of everyone's quizzes in the project.
• Have fun and learn! Hopefully you put some research in these quizzes and learn something along the way.
DON'Ts
• Don't re-do cities already made, you can always check the playlist or just search up "Multiple Choice City Quiz" to see if they have been made before.
• Don't spam and mass-produce these quizzes, these require a bit of research, so if you are making 10 a day you probably aren't making good quizzes.
Sidenote: We are not doing this in hopes of getting a featured quiz, it's just to contribute to a fun set of quizzes. Not just for here, but on JetPunk in general, it's best if your mindset is set to making good quizzes you enjoy, and not just for a feature.
• Try to avoid extremely basic or repetitive questions, most large cities have so much history, culture, just general trivia to talk about that 10 questions doesn't even scratch the surface of it all, so don't waste those by adding questions that can be placed on any city, example:
What Country is the City in?
What is the Population of the City?
These questions are either extremely easy or not that interesting and it's best to avoid them.
• Don't refer to answers in other questions; this is just standard practice for quizzes but of course remember to not give away one questions answer in another question.
Notes
If you check out this playlist you'll see cities that don't exist in our world, that's right, feel free to make a MCCQ about your favorite fictional town!
For the caveats here just put:
Looking for quizzes about other fictional cities? Check <a href="https://www.jetpunk.com/users/baptistegorce/playlists/multiple-choice-fictional-cities-quizzes">this playlist</a>.
Thoughts
What do you think about this new project? If you do want to contribute even a little I hope you take these ideas into account. That's all for me and I hope to see this project get a lot of quality city quizzes.
Better a few great contributions then dozens of lackluster ones.
Also, I was just joking with Hoping to get featured.
For example, I'm currently working on Los Angeles, hoping I'll finish it at the end of the day.
Anyway, I knew the guidelines anyway lol
Thanks for the blog tho, in order to make more people join!
