Geography Snap Statistics (August 2023)

As many of you know by now, there is a leaderboard in every game mode of Geography Snap. More precisely, the 5 fastest players per day, per week and since the beginning of Geography Snap (not really, more like since 26^th October 2020). Well, the player Changedaworld invented a points system according to the rank of a player in the All-Time leaderboard. Here it is :

1^st place : 7 points

2^nd place : 5 points

3^rd place : 3 points

4^th place : 2 points

5^th place : 1 point

So, here is a leaderboard for August :

After 6 months, one player is finally new to this leaderboard : CaptWillard.

The player who's the 1^st in the most categories is... SilverDog (finally this changed), being first in 23 game modes.

The player who's the 2^nd in the most categories is... Changedaworld, being second in 23 game modes.

The player who's the 3^rd in the most categories is... Dagod, being third in 31 game modes.

The player who's the 4^th in the most categories are... Sammyboi & Dagod, being fourth in 8 game modes.

The player who's the 5^th in the most categories is... Sammyboi too, being fifth in 10 game modes.

Out of all 225 All-Time top-5s times, only 4 were improved, including 2 World Records.

The greatest gap between 2 consecutive players in an Easy game mode is 1,8 seconds, between Changedaworld's 3,8 seconds and Dagod's 5,6 seconds, in Capitals Easy.

The greatest gap between 2 consecutive players in a Medium game mode is 4,3 seconds, between SilverDog's 7,9 seconds and Dagod's 12,2 seconds, in Countries, Capitals & Shapes Medium.

The greatest gap between 2 consecutive players in a Hard game mode is 6,4 seconds, between Changedaworld's 12,3 seconds and Dagod's 18,7 seconds, in Countries Hard.

The greatest gap between the 1^st and the 5^th in an Easy game mode is 3,8 seconds, between Changedaworld's 3,8 seconds and Batman23's 7,6 seconds, in Countries, Capitals & Shapes Easy.

The greatest gap between the 1^st and the 5^th in a Medium game mode is 7,8 seconds, between Changedaworld's 7,7 seconds and BI's 15,5 seconds, in Countries, Capitals & Shapes Medium.

The greatest gap between the 1^st and the 5^th in a Hard game mode is 10,3 seconds, between SilverDog's 14,7 seconds and BI's 25,0 seconds, in Countries, Capitals & Shapes Hard.

The smallest gap between the 1^st and the 5^th in a Easy game mode is 0,7 seconds, between SilverDog's 3,1 seconds and Batman23's 3,8 seconds, in Countries & Flags Easy.

The smallest gap between the 1^st and the 5^th in a Medium game mode is 2,4 seconds, between SilverDog's 5,3 seconds and Dagod's 7,7 seconds, in Countries & Flags Medium.

The smallest gap between the 1^st and the 5^th in a Hard game mode is 3,9 seconds, between Changedaworld's 9,0 seconds and tamara's 12,9 seconds, in Countries & Flags Hard.

If we add every time in every All-Time top 5, we get to... 2150,2 seconds, or 35 minutes and 50,2 seconds. That's 0,8 second that was cut off during August. And if we only take the time of the 1^st in every All-Time, we get to 315.9 seconds, or 5 minutes and 15.9 seconds. That's 0.3 second that was cut off in August.

In conclusion, this month, albeit bad, was interesting as Changedaworld lost his crown as the player with the most old World Records, after almost one year of reign. Now, this stats blog might be the last one ever, for two main raisons : 1. School is back and 2. Nothing has really happened in the last months. I said that it might, not that it will, but yeah, if nothing happens in the following weeks, this blog series will sadly come to an end :(
