Geography Snap Statistics (March)

As many of you know by now, there is a leaderboard in every game mode of Geography Snap. More precisely, the 5 fastest players per day, per week and since the beginning of Geography Snap (not really, more like since 26^th October 2020). Well, the player Changedaworld invented a points system according to the rank of a player in the All-Time leaderboard. Here it is :

1^st place : 7 points

2^nd place : 5 points

3^rd place : 3 points

4^th place : 2 points

5^th place : 1 point

There are no new players, no players are back, and no one got ousted. Nice and simple !

The player who's the 1^st in the most categories is... Changedaworld, being first in 26 game modes.

The player who's the 2^nd in the most categories is... SilverDog, being second in 26 game modes.

The player who's the 3^rd in the most categories is... Dagod, being third in 32 game modes.

The player who's the 4^th in the most categories are... Sammyboi, being fourth in 8 game modes.

The player who's the 5^th in the most categories is... Sammyboi too, being fifth in 11 game modes.

Out of all 225 All-Time top-5s times, 15 were improved, including 2 World Records... low numbers, I know.

And here is a leaderboard of the players who have the most CATs. Nothing to do with actual cats, a CAT (Category Association Triple) is when a player is in the same place in all 3 difficulty levels of the same category association.

A total of 39372 games were played in March, and the biggest day was March 2^nd, with 1797 games played !

The greatest gap between 2 consecutive players in an Easy game mode is 1,8 seconds, between Changedaworld's 3,8 seconds and Dagod's 5,6 seconds, in Capitals Easy.

The greatest gap between 2 consecutive players in a Medium game mode is 4,3 seconds, between SilverDog's 7,9 seconds and Dagod's 12,2 seconds, in Countries, Capitals & Shapes Medium.

The greatest gap between 2 consecutive players in a Hard game mode is 6,4 seconds, between Changedaworld's 12,3 seconds and Dagod's 18,7 seconds, in Countries Hard.

The greatest gap between the 1^st and the 5^th in an Easy game mode is 3,8 seconds, between Changedaworld's 3,8 seconds and Batman23's 7,6 seconds, in Countries, Capitals & Shapes Easy.

The greatest gap between the 1^st and the 5^th in a Medium game mode is 7,7 seconds, between Changedaworld's 7,7 seconds and BI's 15,5 seconds, in Countries, Capitals & Shapes Medium.

The greatest gap between the 1^st and the 5^th in a Hard game mode is 10,3 seconds, between SilverDog's 14,7 seconds and BI's 25,0 seconds, in Countries, Capitals & Shapes Hard.

The smallest gap between the 1^st and the 5^th in a Easy game mode is 0,6 seconds, between Changedaworld's 3,2 seconds and Batman23's 3,8 seconds, in Countries & Flags Easy.

The smallest gap between the 1^st and the 5^th in a Medium game mode is 2,1 seconds, between Changedaworld's 5,6 seconds and Dagod's 7,7 seconds, in Countries & Flags Medium.

The smallest gap between the 1^st and the 5^th in a Hard game mode is 3,9 seconds, between Changedaworld's 9,0 seconds and tamara's 12,9 seconds, in Countries & Flags Hard.

The World Record that has been the most improved during March is the Shapes Hard game mode, where it has been improved from 7,9 seconds to 7,7 seconds ! That's 0,2 seconds that were cut off !

The non-World Record time that has been the most improved during March is the Countries, Capitals & Shapes Medium game mode 5^th place, which has been improved from 16,6 seconds to 15,5 seconds ! That's 1,1 seconds that were cut off !

The game mode where the sum of every time in the All-Time top 5 has been the most improved is Countries, Capitals & Shapes Medium, where 1,4 seconds have been taken off ! Why do I use exclamations points even though these improvements are ridiculous compared to other months ? I don't know !

If we add every time in every All-Time top 5, we get to... 2157,7 seconds, or 35 minutes and 57,7 seconds. That's 5,4 seconds that were cut off during March. And if we only take the time of the 1^st in every All-Time, we get to 318,8 seconds, or 5 minutes and 18,8 seconds. That's 0,3 seconds, and no, that's not a joke, that were cut off during March.

Since only 2 World Records were broken in March, both in 2 different game modes, this section is gonna be a bit different.

The first World Record of March was the Countries & Shapes Medium 6,2s, which was broken by SiilverDog 14 hours, 36 minutes and 35 seconds after February was over.

The last World Record of March was the Flags & Shapes Medium 5.9s, which was broken by Changedaworld 18 days, 15 hours, 53 minutes and 30 seconds before April.

The time gap between these two World Records is 10 days, 17 hours, 29 minutes and 55 seconds.

In conclusion, this month has been underwhelming. Almost no improvements were done, yet the player BI did a rather good job at grinding some 4th and 5th places. This month couldn't have been better than February, obviously, but worse than October ? I can't believe it. Let's hope that April will be better, though it doesn't seem like it's the case for now.
