Poems for Punkers
I am dedicating the grand finale of this series to 3 amazing JetPunkers who have made a significant impact on my JetPunk journey. Sorry if you are not included, I didn't want it to sound repetitive.
Poem for KiloNova
Holding On
I was new, and he was too
Helping each other make it through
We talked and played, we both stayed
I never knew what that would do
/
He made a blog, was just dialogue
But what a hole this did unclog
I followed his step, it was my prep
He inspired my entire prologue
/
Soon I grew, rather I flew
Chasing my dream in view
I left you there, no more a pair
Sometimes I want to undo
/
Way back when, how long it's been
Since I was with you then
You're still my friend, until the end
I crave those young days again
Poem for Astana
Hidden Star
Your account is as old as mine
But I've not known you but some months
Mystery draped over your head
I think you were happier once
/
Everybody knows your JetPunk name
But you seem so undefined
This does not matter, your home is ours
We love to be warm and kind
/
Stress is a word hidden in your shadow
Concealed by who you are
You shine brighter than you think, trust me I see
Just planets to you, a star
/
You've made it so far, life chose you
Happier may you have been
But I've connected with you, JetPunk has too
We push you up, be that star again
Poem for Gademotsili99
Pursuing Pride
You've been on JetPunk less than a year
But already accomplished so much
From great quizzes to blogs and six orange stars
People know who you are
/
A Greek lad inside, but English to us
I'd think you had no Greek at all
Helping that section is your biggest pride
With everyone by your side
/
A new friend to me, you seem so humble
Some great things we've made together
Older than most, we look up to you
As before me, you grew too
/
There's not much to say, you bring life to the site
You're legacy will never be lost
Keep being great, that shouldn't be hard
Your goodwill is what we regard
I hope you enjoyed these simple poems. Each has the same format for my own appeal. If I did not include you, again I'm sorry. There really isn't that much to say about most JetPunkers.
I wish I could write like that, mine are $hit
