Thanks. I know my list is very incomplete and I appreciate hearing about stuff I've missed. I'll check these out.

There are that many songs that I should imagine any list will be incomplete.

I need to spend a weekend making playlists on Spotify so I can listen to your lists whilst I'm out on the road.

Thanks you for the encouragement. I did have to add Plastic Bertrand to my list, if you hadn't noticed.

Man, I'm disappointed that I don't know more of the Spanish language songs!

Thanks for this list, I've got a few new songs to check out

Thank you for the positive feedback. I'm not an expert, just a fan. Let me know if there's anything you think I've missed (hint-i already know here's a lot I've missed).

I have no idea about other languages, but your Hindi/Urdu choices are really great!

I am a great fan of the Dil Se soundtrack, which features Jiya Jale (which you've included), one of my favourite songs. It's title song "Dil Se Re" by AR Rahman is another favourite.

Some of my other favourites (you should give these a try, if you haven't):

1. Tanha Dil by Shaan (2000)

2. Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha by Asha Bhosle and Amit Kumar (1979)

3. Neele Neele Ambar Par by Kishore Kumar (1983)

4. Senorita (2011), it combines Spanish flamenco and Bollywood pop music

5. Mitwa by Shafqat Amanat Ali (2006)

Your response is my favorite kind; encouraging and challenging. Music of Asia is one of my biggest hurdles, since I speak no Asian languages and the cultural differences are so varied and distant from my background. I was hoping for suggestions like yours to help me continue my journey. Thank You So Much
