Games 101 # Ticket To Ride
Trains. They drove our world through the Industrial Revolution, the world wars, and more. Transporting people in subways and through mountains. In Ticket To Ride you claim train routes through the United States and Canada.
Put down the board. Separate the ticket cards from the other cards. Separate the cross country railroad card and point card from the deck. You will be left with the train cards. Then put down 5 train cards. Then give 4 train cards to every player. Then place their color peg on 1 and give them their color trains.
You can claim routes. If they are gray you can use any color on them, but if they’re colored you need some of that color. And in both cases, some means all for that route. You should fulfill the destination cards, which are the ticket ones. For the number of trains you place, you get some points. You move your peg that many spaces on the edge. Points are as follows:
Once a player is down to 0, 1 or 2 trains, everyone gets 1 more turn. Then you total up your points. Make sure you have all of those routes completed. Then, if you have the longest route excluding forks you get + 10 points! Then you add in the destination cards. If you completed them, you get the number of points on the card. If not, you lose that many. Then you have found the winner!
