The amount of cases of Valley Fever (Coccidioidomycosis) recorded each year according to the CDC Website. Valley Fever is NOT contagious and is caused by fungal blooms of C. immitis and C. posadasii. These Fungi are found in the soil primarily in the Southwestern United States, most commonly in California and Arizona.
