Hello!
Hello again, everybody! Surprisingly, another month is passing right before our eyes, 2021 seems to be going by a bit quicker than 2020.
Sometime during the weekend or next week, I'm going to make a SVG with dots on it, which is my first one. I at least want to make this before Mother's Day, which is next Sunday on May 9th. If I don't, spank me a couple times.
I've taken a big break of the Homophones series, but I will continue it. I just want to get away from that a bit and do more blogs for y'all.
Let's Get Back to the Point
April 30th, 2021
We've survived another month :'D
Seriously though, I guess I'm going to make this "Special Event" type series where I publish blogs about holidays and events on that day of when it happens. With this, however, I've published this one day before May 1st.
The series will basically tell you the history of what happened on that day, what you can do the "celebrate" it, etc.
So...here's some historical events on this day ;>
Historyyy
England Diary of Anne Frank, 1952 - The diary of Anne Frank, a Jewish victim of the Holocaust is to be published in English, titled, The Diary of a Young Girl, later to be "retitled", Diary of Anne Frank, and becomes one of the most popular books in the world and is included in most schools as recommended reading.
George Washington inaugurated, 1789 - George Washington was inaugurated as the first president of the United States at the Federal Hall in New York City.
U.S. Tuberculosis, 1932 - The continued growth of TB was becoming more widespread and with more variations, the worst affecting infants and young children. It is often transmitted through milk from deceased cows. I can be diagnosed with a chest X-ray and is highly contagious. This is why the milk we have now is pasteurized/homogenized.
Norway German Conquest, 1940 - Germany had stated that the conquest of Norway is now complete and has captured most British servicemen who were then in prison camps.
Adolf Hitler commits suicide, 1945 - German dictator, Adolf Hitler and his wife, Eva Braun committed suicide one day after they were married, just before the Russian troops entered his Berlin bunker at the end of World War II.
South Vietnam surrenders, 1975 - South Vietnam surrenders to North Vietnam and the war in Vietnam was over with the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese army and government was under control.
Chad Civil War, 1984 - The Libya Prime minister has offered to withdraw Libyan troops from Chad if France will also withdraw from the Former French African Colony. The French were supporting the current regime while the Libyans supported the rebel army.
Tom Moore born, 1920 - Tom Moore was born in Keighley, United Kingdom
