Oh boy, that was tricky. Missed 3. And that panda/Everest question was super tricky because a French missionary did indeed map the Himalayas, but I guess that was in the 1700s. And I didn’t even bother to read all the way to see “Sichuan”. Whoops!
Anddddd the questions are impossible to get once again. I don't get how one day there are good questions and the next they are the most random information conceivable
Different tastes I guess, I'd much rather have hard questions because it means I've learnt something.
Most of these questions aren't impossible anyway, they just require some thinking before you answer. For example the wording of the China question implies Europeans had already visited China before that date. That rules out the Great Wall and Everest because those are both massive and so easily noticeable. Then you can rule out silk because it's a very common fabric in China so it's unlikely no European would have seen someone with it before.
That was not a hard question, Marco Polo went to China in the 13th Century. I'm talking about questions about very specific topics which aren't informative or logica, thinking, just plain out guess or miss.
9/10 and a fairly slow day for me because some of these were very hard. Got a very lucky guess with the Pandas, an educated guess on the flag question, but somehow fell short on avocado toast, mostly because I think I assumed that one was said by an American 😂
This was tricky, although no questions, which require (almost) native english skills, which is good. Though these brothers -questions are kind of useless.
Finally no sports questions! :) 9/10 bc I had to guess on the last one. Japan has things like the oldest classical music tradition so I guessed they'd have the oldest flag too. Oh well!

Probably 5-6
Are they harder on certain days?
