Baseball player accused of doing steroids.

I figured Balco had something to do with drugs, but, besides not thinking the answer was Bill Clinton (as far as I know all he did was "not inhale") couldn't really eliminate anyone.

Oh that's interesting, (non-football) sports are definitely one of the areas I'm trying to work on so I'll try to remember that!

I can only really name about 5 or 6 baseball players, slightly better with basketball and American football but still not great, starting to get the hang of some of the team names though haha

The murder of Bambi's mother is at least half way through the film! (I've just Googled it to check, and it seems a lot of people mistakenly think it was in the first 10 minutes.)

Must be the Nelson Mandela effect. I knew it didn't open that way, because IIRC it opens with narration of animals "twitterpating' in the spring. Then, young Bambi meets his new friends, Thumper and Flower. But, I've only seen the movie once, and that was a long time ago.

Yeah, that clue really threw me because I was thinking, "She dies halfway through." There's lots of April showers, making friends, falling in love, and similar shenanigans first.

I was really impressed I got the FIFA question right--thanks, Jon Oliver, for complaining about FIFA so much that I figured it was probably that--but then missed the BALCO question because I didn't know who Barry Bonds was. Darn sports!

Contrary to popular belief, Bambi's mother dies in the middle of the movie, not in the beginning. The movie is only 70 minutes long, and mom dies around the 40 minute mark.

Saying that Bambi begins with his mom dying is like saying that Star Wars begins with the death of Obi Wan. There is a good chunk of movie before either of those things happen.

Murder is specific to the unlawful killing of human beings. Bambi's mother's killing may or may not have been lawful, but she certainly was not a human being.

Technically speaking, the main character in 'The Godfather' is the titular Vito Corleone, and his mother is murdered. I know it's splitting hairs and I obviously guessed Bambi, just worth pointing out

Got the first 5 easy, then missed the last 5. Not surprised though, the last half were all pure guesses for me.
