As a verb it means pressgang (onto a ship). As a noun, it's a device made of a forked stick and a rubber band, used to launch a projectile, usually a stone, with nefarious intent.

That's another word for it, but I could not for the life of me think of it when I wrote definition.

Fell on the first hurdle instead of the last. Made for a nice change. I knew my dislike of seafood would get me in trouble one day.

Oofa. For some strange reason, I read the Manhattan question as which can NOT be found in lower Manhattan. RTFQ Max!

That would make it tricky, but I live way above Harlem so they're all lower Manhattan to me.

In fairness, if it’s in the centre then the lower half of the park is in lower manhattan!

That's a good philosophical question. Does Lower Manhattan start south of 14th St, or W 4th St, or Houston St, or Canal St, or is it just the southern half of the whole darn island? We'll never know...

Or people are now learning that 'lower' is referring to latitude and not elevation.

10/10 without a single guess! Although it did take me a good ten seconds to turn on my brain for question 1 and realize clams aren't crustaceans--hence not my best score.

Tough one today. I got 9 thanks to guessing correctly on 4 that I didn't actually know. I guess I'd rather be smart, but I'll take lucky for now.

A while back, a plea was made for more non-geography questions, which prompted my question above. Mission accomplished at least for this batch - only 2/10 geography related.
