I knew Denver had high elevation, but didn't know if it had hosted the Olympics. Tried it anyway. Also, I don't pay enough attention to the film world. 8/10

Successfully bid for the 1976 Winter Olympics, but declined to host them.

Still, even if Denver had hosted them, its altitude (5280 ft) is nowhere close to that of Mexico City's (7350 ft).

Breezed through #7, then flailed on the last three. Then took it again since seems I'm the first one on today's quiz....I know cheating...so 10/10 9,930 on first attempt is the current bar....lol

Had no idea while solving #5. Eye chart looks totally different in South Korea... 7 out of 10.

As well as "Stevedore" is unknown outside native english-speaking world.

Worst score ever, never heard of most of these. Back to back 10/10s to a 4/10 lmao. Is stevedore an American term, I’m shocked that many people got it right. I’ve never heard that word in my life.

I think its an old-fashioned English term, but I could be wrong

Edit: highest usage in the 1950s and 60s

It's pretty obscure even among native English speakers too, so don't feel bad about that one haha

Stevedore was originally derived either from the Spanish word estibador or the Portuguese word estivador.

My eye doctor has a T at the top, threw me right off :')

Where I come from all Snellen charts have an H at the top. This question is presumably specific to a particular geographical area?

8/10. Don't pay much attention to movies and was waffling between conscious thought and seeming human and chose wrong.

My worst showing in quite some time, not my type of questions today 😅 Didn't know the eye chart or Megalopolis; knew Jefferson and Adams both died on the 4th of July but thought it was different years; and frankly I wasn't confident on the stevedore or the Fountain either so I was lucky to even score a 7 😂

Wow, today I had some luck. One of my featured quizzes features The Fountain, and I made, surprisingly, three quizzes that mention stevedores. It’s too bad I forgot that Mexico hosted the olympics.

Got lucky today with a couple guesses to hit 10, this after a rough stretch of nothing higher than 7 in almost a week.

I felt really smart for figuring out what a stevedore is, and then I just stupidly clicked on "A" for the eye chart, so 9/10. Keeping it real!

Not a disaster - 8/10 - no idea on the people who died on the same day. Should have got 'E' right for the eye chart. Everything else I got correct.
