Woah I got SUPER LUCKY on some of these questions. The last one I had no idea about, just guessed and got it right! I was about to call an ampersand an octothorpe, but I had this little niggley thought that a hash was perhaps not the name for it?
Probably should have remembered that Anatolia didn't have Greece or Bulgaria on it...
I knew the last one had to be a comedy rock band, which is why I eliminated Led Zeppelin immediately. I was between Tenacious D and Spinal Tap and I chose Spinal Tap. Have never heard of Steel Panther.
Very off topic, but has anyone played EVERY single daily trivia from start to now? I've feel like there are other people who have done that other than me, so if you have then let me know!
‘The octothorpe is believed to have been adopted by the telecommunications industry with the advent of touch-tone dialing in the 1960s, but it remains unknown how, exactly, the symbol got its odd name. The octo- part almost certainly refers to the eight points on the symbol, but the -thorpe bit is mysterious’
I'm surprised octothorpe threw so many people, not because I knew the answer already, but because it was the only option that clearly (to me anyway) had 8 instances of a visual characteristic (i.e. the ends of each line).
edit: why did I pick Macedonia when there’s literally a country called North Macedonia 😭
Probably should have remembered that Anatolia didn't have Greece or Bulgaria on it...
No! This is just a tribute.
As an aside, I'm genuinely shocked at Tenacious D having the lowest correct% so far, I thought that was a lot more well-known! 😅

Good news: I'm still #1 on my leader board!
