I guess I do have a slight edge, my averages are 7,650 with 7.73 correct, yours are 7,237 with 7.33 correct. So there's an edge, but a very slight one. We're pretty evenly matched tbh
8/10. I said 20 instead of 12. i really couldn't remember. And I can't be the only one who didn't think Superbus sounded like a real person? Judging by the percentage of right answers on that, I'm going to go with no, I was not.
Surprised myself 9/10 - 8,859. Superbus got me, but I'm only about a third of the way through Mike Duncan's epic 'History of Rome' (highly recommend), just getting into Caesar and the Gallic Wars. Someone should make a quiz on his podcasts, e.g. What sacred animal was used by the Romans to determine whether it was an auspicious day to enter the battlefield?
I knew the king's first name was Tarquinius, so I got the right answer, but even so I still hesitated because Superbus seemed like an obvious fake, haha.
Concerning the dance at Moulin Rouge: this cabaret made the dance famous but was not the place it has been created.
It derives from "le quadrille" which was popular in folk-dance balls before getting the signature dance of Parisian cabarets including the Moulin Rouge.

@Dimby
Could have been worse; I made a couple of lucky guesses.
I see your average has passed the 9,100 mark as well, congratulations! I can practically feel you breathing down my neck 😅
