As I was getting 10 out of 10, but I got nine due the Italy-question, I ask Is there a way how statistics can be fixed? If I try again with the same answers, is it so that the old score will be wiped out?
For a Tolkien theme, I'd have been very disappointed with myself had I got anything less than 10/10, and I'm glad to report I did not disappoint 😁 Was on for a really high score too but question 7 slowed me down a bit
I believe this is the pub where Lewis and Tolkien’s gang (the Inklings) would have competitions to read aloud works by Amanda McKittrick and see who could go longest without laughing at the terrible prose.
It's really bad. This is my imitation of her writing after reading a few pages: "Her beguiled trepidation had been dashed upon the rocks of honorific futurity."
8/10. Went the wrong way between town and county and decided to go with the town I'd never heard of for the pub. Oh well. When seeing some of the first questions did better than I thought I would.
Was trying to find the common theme, some are LOTR or just "rings" and magic/mythology in general, but can't find the connection to Petronas Towers and Spain
10/10 - yay! I’m mot a massive fan of Tolkien and all things elvish, but the rest of my family are, so must have picked up some of her knowledge by osmosis!
LOTR is the best movie series ever and each movie is better than the next, with the twin towers and return of the king being my favorite movies ever next to Truman show
Hmm. The person at the top of my leaderboard DEFINITELY cheats. dozens of scores about 9950, and the distribution of their scores is the most obviously non-normal curve I've ever seen.
Look at this distribution! They have a mode of 6 with a somewhat normal distribution, except they have a ton of 10/10 scores with 9950 or better? Charade you are!
Seen a few like this and removed them from my list. Like I can accept that people have faster reactions than me, and if they're consistently that good then fair enough, I enjoy the competition, but when I'm seeing someone with an average of 4-5 correct putting up 9,965+ every other week, it feels fairly obvious what's happening there
Not seeing its connection to the theme either...
Edit: Ohh, wait. Return of the king?
