8/10, missed the salt and Celtic questions. Sightly recalled that Homo floresiensis inhabited an island in Indonesia and was certain that Gordon Ramsay wasn't screaming his lungs out in the center of the Milky Way.
5 minutes of searching: "I finished the war on a destroyer escort, USS ENGLAND (DE 635), which sunk six Japanese submarines in twelve days. Each one we killed, I ran around the engine room giving everyone a high five, yelling “There’s another blow for the YORKTOWN. How do you like it, now that it’s our turn?” I felt that by the time we got the sixth one, they were going to give me a section eight discharge."
9/10 again, survived a couple of lucky guesses on the high five (still can't believe it wasn't around longer than that) and the toss-up of Phoenix vs. Miami, but I concinved myself that Palawan was Indonesian and Flores was Filipino. Not often I get derailed by a geography question 😅
P.S. Camera is misspelled in the answers for question 10 ("camea")
9/10 on a 50-50 guess about Indonesia. But I liked that there were two NYC questions--my kid goes to school in Hell's Kitchen, and The Persistence of Memory is near there at MoMA.
Glenn Burke and Dusty Baker! In addition to co-inventing the high five, Burke was also the first out gay man in Major League Baseball (and one of the first out athletes in any sport, period).
And then I proceeded to get them wrong.
Missed the language question and the high five

Inb4 "but they didn't call it that at the time!"
It's a bit like Paris Hilton saying she invented selfies!
had to think longer on some questions but it payed off
