If you're looking for a good movie to watch, "The Way" was about the religious pilgrimage to Spain. Definitely worth seeing.

Scimitar is not a thing. It is a 19th century made up word for any curved sword like a shamshir, a kilic or a tulwar or anything else middle eastern.

It's been in use in English since the 16th century and it's a useful word invented to refer in a generic way to a wide array of Middle Eastern swords and some similar swords without having to specify if it is a shamshir, a tulwar, or a whatever else.

I was curious if masochism is named after a guy like sadism is. Yup! Leopold von Sacher-Masoch wrote novels that had people having sexy encounters that involved suffering, pain, and humiliation. A psychologist coined the term masochism after his writings. What a way to be remembered! 🤔

Managed another 10/10, but a bit slower than yesterday, 9,895. Hesitated a little on Dubai, Ontario, and the Mona Lisa, but overall found these questions a lot kinder than they have been in recent weeks haha

Absolutely spaced on Q6, that's the only one I missed. Did get Q10 thanks to the movie "The Way" starring Martin Sheen. Really good movie if you're looking for something to watch.
