This should’ve been an easy 10/10 for me but I blundered. Various bad actors have been conspiring to thwart my attempt of ten 10/10 scores in a row. Looks like they succeed again.
Ahh, twain. I suspect the QM added those first two options as a trap, because all I could think of was the phrase, "never the twain shall meet," which evoked feelings of divide instead of the true and OBVIOUS meaning of two. Which I missed of course lol.
9/10. The River Meander got me. I read that the name Meander is a historical name for the Turkish river now called Buyuk Menderes. there is, however, a Meander river in Tasmania.
9/10 today, pretty solid on all of them except the Meander, which I had no idea on. Went for Wales even though I would probably have heard of it, given it's just down the road 😅
I wish I lived just up the road from Wales - it is the one UK country I haven't spent time in yet I have a very good friend of many years who lives there.
One of the easiest for me, maybe because I love etymology. 10/10 and 6th best ever. Meander is a river, with the name ending in ander. Skamander is another river ending in ander, and it played a big role in the Trojan War, which happened in Turkey. “Cut in twain” means “cut in two”.
I just didn't read all the options, lol.
