9/10 for me today, lost out on Q9, couldn't decide whether India's massive population would be enough to make their Muslim minority larger than Egypt's population, and ultimately lost the coin toss

Me too. 9/10 because I didn't think there would be 100 million Muslims in India. Silly me, it's only 10% of their population.

I had exactly the same thing too. India has so many people but Egypt has a lot of Muslims

Yeah, now that you mention it, if I'd stopped to think about it in percentage terms, I might have figured it out (or maybe not, because I think I also thought Egypt's population was bigger than it is haha)

I also only missed Q9, guessed Egypt because it didn't occur to me that India's Muslim population would be bigger despite being a minority.

I had exactly the same thinking and the same error.

My reasoning there was that Bangladesh has a higher population than Egypt yet wasn't featured as an answer. So it had to be India.

Ooh, now that is clever thinking! Well played

Yeah I was looking for Bangladesh but when it was missing picked Saudi Arabia.

India's Muslim population is almost 200 million. It is not a small minority at all, and I think people have a tendency to forget that the combined Muslim populations of South and Southeast Asia make up more than 50% of Muslims globally--far greater numbers than live anywhere in the Middle East.

I once read that India was the country with the most muslims. Not sure whether this was correct at the time, but it certainly is plausible that at some point in history it could have been. In any case this information made me to know the answer.

Bugger! I was so hopeful for a 10/10 as I went through the quiz as things were looking good. But then... Q9 - who knew there are more Muslims in India than in Egypt? I guess it makes sense now that India is the most populous nation in the world. Oh well, 9/10 is ok after my last few days around the 6/10 mark.

Well, that was horrible....I got telegraph mixed up with phonograph, I leaned to India but thought there would be more Hindis, shifted to Saudi. I read 'Einstein for Dummies' but nothing stuck.

I almost did the same. Caught myself at the last moment, but the hesitation slowed me down a bit.

8/10. I was one of the many who let questions 8 and 9 trip me up.

Just 5/10 for me. Was choosing between Bell and Edison and ultimately went the wrong way.

8/10. Didn't know where the 2028 Olympics are goign to be and wasn't sure on Stalingrad. Oh well.

Samesies.

I am surprised at the high percentage of people who knew where the Olympics are going to be. It just doesn't come across my desk. Perth seems like a plausible answer and Milan might have been chosen by people rushing.

I knew it wasn't St Petersburg and eliminated Kazan as too unfamiliar, but I know so little about Russian cities other than the big two, I still got it wrong. 9/10

easy 9 out of 10. It puzzles me as to why the muslim populations of different countries are of such interest to the QuizMaster. this sort of question shows up so much here, far more than other religions. I lie, it doesn't puzzle me.

Always love that 'Special' relativity is the early, simple (ish) one, while General is the mind bending one. Just sounds wrong to me
