7 today. I wasn't going to get the self help guru one, and I could only narrow it down to three on the movie one. Misclicked the final question sadly, want to blame my phone screen but I think it's just my thumbs 😅
Yeah, I happen to have heard of Marie Kondo. I think she recommends you hold an object and ask yourself if it brings you happiness and throw it away if not. Which is stupid. My oven doesn't bring me happiness but I need it to cook food.
I've also heard of Deepak Chopra, he is a nasty piece of work whose main goal is separating people from their money by making stuff up about quantum crystals.
Your oven example seems a bit of a strawman to me. MK's advice about keeping possessions that "spark joy" is more applicable to things like clothing, mugs, mementos, etc; redundant items that someone looking to declutter might choose to pare down. I don't think that applies to basic household amenities like ovens, as most folks only own one. I don't entirely agree with her methods but she has some good ideas imo.
Marie Kondo was quite famous in a meme a couple of years ago! This might be a question where a younger audience might actually have an advantage over an older one.
Kinda surprised by the last question, I really didn't think there was any for the Falklands and yet I chose still thinking surely there had to have been at least one in WWII but nope
Death Penalty would’ve been removed (at least domestically) by 1982. It probably was still in place in the military, if only by accident, but I used that as a ‘the outrage would mean they never did it’ and just ruled it out immediately
9/10 today, had a feeling it might be Ghostbusters, but it's been so long since I saw it, and I couldn't remember the line so in the end I went with Hellraiser, as the only one I haven't seen
8/10. Had to guess on the last two and guessed poorly.
I did just finish a book about the War of Jenkins Ear (The Wager, David Grann) and was able to discount that as an option. And 1982 seemed awfully late for capital punishment in the UK.

Not heard of the other two
But desertion was still punishable by death during WWI
